Our History
The Strategic Power Partners was founded not by design but more as a means to an end.
In 2015, I worked with a client who was new to her industry and new to our community. Like many of my clients, she had the skills to provide her products and services but lacked a client base that would allow her to meet her goals.
With no experience building her book of business and feeling frustrated from trying cold calling techniques, attending events after events, and lacking the funds for an effective advertising campaign, she felt very defeated and questioned herself.
Time was critical, so I knew the fastest way to help her was to pull together a Power Team Meeting (a meeting of professionals who work together to refer one another to their Ideal Target Market).
So an invitation went out to 25 women, hoping that at least 5 to 10 would show, to meet up casually at a local restaurant for coffee, introductions, and hopefully some future collaborative opportunities. I intended to get it started, plug my client into it, and remove myself.
You know what they say about making your OWN plans; yep, God had another idea. In the first meeting, we had 23 women show up, and they wanted to continue to meet. We began to meet weekly, and the group grew to the point we were filling the restaurant each week.
It didn't take long for me to realize that these women were searching for this type of meeting, one full of intention and delivered results, so I decided to keep it going, and that was the launch of the Strategic Power Partners.
In 2020, we began to meet virtually, which allowed us to invite women from all over to participate.
Here are a few things to note:
- The Strategic Power Partners is a private group, and membership is awarded based on the group's needs.
- We strive to keep it one professional per industry so that there is no conflict of interest.
- We also strictly enforce NO SELLING to the group from other members.
- There is no cost for membership, but we require that everyone commit to attending the meetings and participating with a positive attitude.

CELEBRATION
Every meeting, we start by giving thanks and asking God to join us as we gather together.
Next, we start with CELEBRATIONS from the past week, where one-by-one, we share two wins each, one personal and one professional. Creating an atmosphere of positive energy.
You will also share YOUR NAME, YOUR COMPANY NAME, AND YOUR INDUSTRY.
EDUCATION
During the EDUCATIONAL portion of the meeting, you will hear from the Founder, Amy D. Kilpatrick, as she shares some of her business growth strategies.
These are designed to help the members build strategic partnerships that in turn will generate referral opportunities.
COLLABORATION
This is what makes this group work!
Each week you will be given a chance to share a CALL-TO-ACTION with everyone.
By COLLABORATING, we can support each other's social media channels, marketing ideas, referrals, events, workshops, etc…
